Although the rose tattoo carries a plethora of meanings today, it used to be most known for representing love. It's said, the rose tattoo gained popularity in the 1930s because sailors often got them tattooed on their bodies as reminders of their wives, girlfriends, and mothers, either way 1930 or now they still make for a pretty badass tattoo.
